Deposit first, balance on delivery
Design work is often paid in two parts: a deposit before you start and the balance when you deliver. The template shows the deposit in "Already paid", so the invoice shows the full project price and the balance still due. Clients find this easier to approve than a bare number, because they can see the whole agreement on one page.
Revision rounds on the invoice
Write the number of included rounds of changes in the description of each deliverable, such as "3 concepts, 2 rounds of changes". When a client asks for more, agree the price first and bill the extra round as its own line with the date it was agreed. The invoice then tells the same story as your messages with the client.
Files and usage rights
Say on the invoice when the final files and the usage rights pass to the client, usually once the balance is paid. If the client is paying for limited use, such as social media only, name it in the description. If they later want wider use, that is a new line on a new invoice. The freelance contract template has the matching ownership clause.
